Honed Granite has a smooth consistent matte surface, which is a lot more porous than its polished counter part.

The Honed finish is achieved by using a selection of abrasives. The manufacturers stop the finishing process before the stone surface becomes shiny, leaving it with a satin or matte appearance.

A great look for hearths in both fireplaces and stoves and a popular choice. Because of it porous properties it does require higher maintenance than polished granite and we recommend re sealing it a couple of time a year.
